The Kneževi Vinogradi Municipality established the Daycare Center “Zeko” in 1998. Organized preschool education in the Municipality started in 1978. At the time, daycare centers in the Municipality belonged to elementary schools, were state-owned and were financed from the state budget. Four settlements of the Municipality have daycare centers. Croatian is spoken in daycare centers in Kneževi Vinogradi and Karanac and Hungarian is spoken in daycare centers in Zmajevac and Suza.
The Daycare Center “Zeko” provides pre-school education and care of preschool children from the age of three to school age. Full-time six-hour and ten-hour daycare programs are adapted to children’s development needs. Also, a separate program is provided for Hungarian minority children.
In the educational year 2017/2018, preschool education at daycare centers comprised 85 children.

The daycare centers have 6-hour and 10-hour programs. The 10-hour program was established in 2008. The daycare center building is in the center of Kneževi Vinogradi. Our daycare center stands out for holding Sports Games that commemorate the Daycare Center Day and all attendants. They have been held for 12 years.
The Games are divided in three parts:
- competitions for children of up to 4 years
- team tournaments
- running
The Daycare Center fosters traditional preschool children’s games and folklore.

Children aged 3 up to school age attend our Daycare Center. The program in one mixed group is a 6-hour one. The Daycare Center shares the building with the Elementary School Kneževi Vinogradi in Karanac. They work well with parents and this allows for creativity in terms of activities. Some specific ones include grape picking in vineyards, a tour of a farm with cows and horses, throwing Halloween Night.

The six-hour program is held in Hungarian, with mandatory Croatian language lessons (10 hours per week). Other activities and workshops with parents are organized as well.
