Harvest Festival in Suza

A September weekend celebration and epilogue to the harvest of the
winegrowing area first discovered by ancient Romans.
Held in Suza, both the Harvest Festival and the companion Wine Days
preserve folklore and cultural heritage, especially in relation to wine grape harvest.
Following horse-drawn cart racing and children’s bike tour, day one of the
Festival is reserved for a cavalcade showcasing the grape harvesting customs as
well as a folk dance parade and homemade provisions fair. Wine Days of day two
invite visitors to taste local wine creations. Do not miss the competitors vying to
impress with their bean stew, winemaker-style.
